Yes, we should be able to help you out. We routinely work across Dorset, Hampshire, Wiltshire, Somerset and Devon. We’ve completed many jobs beyond this area too, London and Surrey amongst others. If you’re a little further away we can always quote from photos and the do a site visit to confirm the cost.

Every staircase is different but a standard staircase renovation for a flight between 12-14 steps and a return at the top of up to 2m will cost £3950.00 including VAT. This includes the removal of the old balustrade, replacement of the newel posts, hand rails, base rails and toughened glass fitted in-line. We also offer other design choices including spindles and glass fixed with stainless steel clips. If you want a rough guide, feel free to give us a call. Lots of customers also choose to add a curtail step, cladding to the internal and external strings or storage.

We use our experience and expertise to replace the newel posts entirely. We don’t cut the old newel post off and stick a new piece on top, or clad the old newel post. We use a brand new newel post and replace it right the way through. It’s more work this way, but the overall result is better. Yes, providing they are structurally sound and meet regulations we can often adapt what you’ve already got to hold glass. When we visit your home we can talk you through the options.

Yes, we can. We create bespoke under stairs storage solutions to help you make the most of the space available, examples of which can be seen on our Under Stairs Storage page. We have also recently started a second website called Hambledon Bespoke to showcase our cabinetry work. Often our staircase clients come back to us with a second project, usually for cabinetry or freestanding furniture (although we have had a few customers with multiple staircases!).
