Why choose Hambledon Staircases to refurbish your staircase?

Well, simply put, we are the best in the business. Did you know (touch wood this doesn’t jinx it) but to this point, we’ve only ever received five star reviews? Happy customers mean a happy life for us, so we always do everything we possibly can to make sure our customers are delighted. Back in 2011 when we first started renovating staircases we were the only none national company doing it, we have the experience and expertise to make the process smooth and straight forward.

No quibbles – we always encourage customers to check over our work and ask us about anything they spot. We will make sure everything is perfect.

Highest quality – we manufacture our handrails ourselves for every individual staircase. We quality check them ourselves too. We only buy top quality oak and timber, using whole sections of oak to make our handrails, no cheap engineered handrails or lightweight off the shelf versions. We also use 10mm toughened glass as standard, no 8mm glass fitted by us.

We are a tiny business – Hambledon Staircases is just the two of us, Imogen and Nick, a husband and wife team. So when you call or email, you always speak to one of us. We are the only people working in your home. We take the timber deliveries, make the handrails, oil everything, order the glass, write the blog, check the staircase regulations. We are both directors of the company, we really care and customer satisfaction as important to us as it is to you.

Award winning – we have been awarded several customer service awards, many years running.

Check out our glowing reviews on trust pilot, houzz and google.

A Carpenter’s Wife Blog

Nick and I share a passion for creativity and design. We have renovated several houses together and as I was regularly drafted in to help with his carpentry work. It was a natural step to go into business together. For many years this was an informal arrangement with me learning on my feet, including CAD, web design, tax and admin. I was itching to get involved practically so it wasn’t long before I joined Nick on-site.

We’re very lucky to enjoy our time working together. My blog is a reflection on what we are doing, what we have learnt and where we are going. It’s nice to keep a written record of our journey together and life in Dorset with three young children.
