Oak Spindle Staircase Renovations
Oak is possibly the most luxurious way to refurbish your staircase and give a warm, top-spec feeling to your hallway. This style is very flexible and can create either a traditional or a contemporary look. Our tried and tested method for renovations means no mess and no fuss.
We design our oak spindle staircases with solid oak newel posts and 41mm spindles as standard for added luxury. You select the style; turned, continuous handrail, stop chamfer or square. A complete renovation with updated balustrade and banister can take as little as 2 days. View our hand rail & newel cap options (PDF, 895 kbytes).
Although we frequently work with oak, we are also experienced with sapele, ash and pine. Alternatively we will use tulipwood if you are opting for a painted finish and we include premium paints in our prices. We can source the timber you need for the staircase of your dreams, we can even closely match existing timber and woodwork when needed.

Oak Spindle Staircase Features
Our classic oak spindle staircase renovations include the replacement of the balustrade, and removing and replacing newel posts, hand rails, and base rails.
Often customers will decide to take their renovation to the next level, adding curtail steps, wall hung handrails, cladding strings and cladding the treads and risers. All of these optional extras can be achieved in either a timber or painted finish. View our range of string clad options (PDF, 325 kbytes).
We can discuss all of these options at your free design visit and will quote for them individually, so that you can choose exactly the options that suit you. Simply email us or give us a call on 01258 269 901 for an informal chat about your ideas – we’d love to hear from you.
