Somerset projects often bring us into older, more unusual properties – including one memorable renovation where we built a curved, spiral staircase over an original 18th-century staircase, preserving the historic structure beneath while creating a functional new stairway down to the cellar. It’s the kind of project that sums up what we enjoy most about renovation work: working with what’s already there rather than ripping it out.

As Imogen grew up in Bath, she first introduced to several Somerset clients through friends and family, word of mouth has carried us further into the county since – from period homes to more recent builds.

Under stairs storage is one of our most popular add-ons for Somerset customers, particularly in period homes around Bath, Wells and Frome where an awkward, sloped void under the stairs is often going to waste. We build cupboards, drawers and shelving to fit that exact space — in solid oak to match a period staircase, or painted for a lighter, more contemporary hallway.
